Resources for Visiting Teams - Public Schools

Thank you for volunteering your time!

Accreditation is a voluntary, peer review process which engages thousands of professional educators in school visits each year. The members of NEASC Accreditation Visiting Teams are trained to provide commendations and recommendations to assist an institution’s growth and improvement process. Their expertise and unique perspectives contribute to the positive and meaningful impact we aim to achieve in the schools we serve.

Once selected to participate, Visiting Team members will receive resources and training to prepare for their role. Prior to a scheduled visit, the Team Chair will contact each Visiting team member regarding the specifics of the visit and the information on how to access the school’s Self-Reflection through the NEASC Accreditation Portal. The office of the NEASC Commission on Public Schools will also provide information regarding logistics. Lodging, meals, and reimbursement for mileage will be paid for by the host school. All Visiting Team members will receive a certificate of participation.

Specific questions regarding becoming a NEASC Visitor or how to access training materials can be sent to cps@neasc.org.
