Our College Connection

Our College Connection

Though operating independently since 2018, NEASC and the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) collaborate across the K-16 continuum in ways that serve the interests of our entire membership. Through this ongoing partnership and in collaboration with universities, colleges, and higher education associations across New England, NEASC works closely with our higher education colleagues (NECHE, NEBHE, and NEACAC, among others) to explore opportunities to enhance the value of accreditation in supporting the educational success and college readiness of our students.

Throughout the school year we keep our K-12 community of accredited schools connected to the latest information in admissions and higher education through ongoing webinars including our recent webinar, What’s New in College Admissions?, featuring admissions personnel from colleges and universities across the region.

Connecting and ensuring our students are prepared for post-secondary is a key priority of NEASC membership and accreditation. NEASC Accreditation continues to merit positive consideration in university admissions processes and in funding and consideration for other opportunities such as grants and scholarships.

…post-secondary institutions recognize that a school’s accreditation through one of the three NEASC Commissions demonstrates its commitment to high standards, rigorous review and ongoing accountability. NEASC accreditation merits strong consideration in the admissions decision.
