As the Chief Accreditation Officer for NEASC, George oversees and supports accreditation activities for all school types and regions. In this role, he provides resources, assists in growth and retention, and facilitates collaborative and supportive relationships among the NEASC Commissions: Independent Schools, International Education, and Public Schools.

George earned his Master of Education in Educational Administration and built a 30-year long career in public schools, including 21 years serving as a high school principal in New Hampshire. As principal, George oversaw the opening of two New Hampshire high schools and used the NEASC Standards to build both schools. George joined NEASC in 2009, starting in the NEASC Commission on Public Schools before transitioning to the role of Chief Accreditation Officer. During his time as Chief Accreditation Officer, George has prioritized continuous improvement, innovation, and growth at NEASC by creating and supporting new approaches to accreditation, including those for online schools and educational services organizations, as well as through building strategic partnerships with state and international organizations to better support our member schools.

George believes that the value NEASC provides to its members is self-reflection – the ability to reflect on their practices and strive toward being the best version of themselves. In an increasingly black-and-white world, George believes that his mission is “to help students see the shades of gray.”
