Seminars

Several seminars have been developed to help public schools on their path to accreditation. These events are offered online to help schools avoid travel and reduce associated costs.

Please note that participation in the seminars is by invitation only. See registration instructions below.

Accreditation Seminar for Public Schools (virtual)

Designed to help schools prepare for upcoming Collaborative Conference and Decennial Accreditation Visits, this seminar will review the Standards for Accreditation and the Accreditation cycle.

  • Who should attend?
Principals, school heads, and accreditation coordinators are strongly encouraged to participate.

Visit Seminar for Public Schools (virtual)

Developed to assist with the final preparations for a school's visit, planning details will be provided during this session to help make sure everything is in place for the Visiting Team and to hopefully alleviate anxiety that school accreditation leaders may have.

It is very important for schools with a Decennial Accreditation visit scheduled in the upcoming season to participate in this seminar.

  • Who should attend?
This seminar is intended for the principal and accreditation coordinators of schools with scheduled Decennial Accreditation Visits, but other participants — such as additional Steering Committee members — are also welcome.

Follow-up Seminar for Public Schools (virtual)

The Accreditation process from the time the school receives their Decennial report through the Two-Year and Five-Year Progress Reports will be reviewed in this seminar. Attendees will be prepared to monitor and report on their improvement plans, schools will be provided with a framework for continued growth, and members of the professional staff will have a clearer understanding of all follow-up obligations and timelines.

  • Who should attend?
Up to five individuals per school may attend. Principals, members of the school leadership team, and steering committee members are strongly encouraged to participate.

Registration

If you have received a seminar invitation, you will be provided with registration instructions. There is no fee to participate.

  • Space is limited, so please sign up in a timely manner.
  • Schools requesting a reservation after the registration deadline may be asked to participate on an alternate date.
  • A confirmation of your school's reservation and instructions for how to join the session will be provided shortly after your registration request is received.

Requirements:
You must be able to connect to the session using a device with both audio and video (i.e., a working screen, mic, and camera). A video conference room with a shared screen, mic, and camera is also suitable.
