Joseph Kotarski

Interim Director for Accreditation and School Improvement
NEASC Commission on International Education

As Interim Director for the NEASC Commission on International Education, Joe  will supports hundreds of schools around the world as they seek to transform into learning communities of the future. Facilitating communication between commission members, staff, and volunteers, and working directly with member schools through workshops and school visits, Joe provides in-depth guidance throughout the NEASC Accreditation process.

Drawn to NEASC because of his passion for school transformation, Joe joined the NEASC team in 2024 with over a decade of experience in the Middle East and North Africa where he served as Head of School and Director of Education, overseeing three newly opened schools. With robust academic credentials — including a Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership and two master's degrees in education — he brings a high level of skill in designing and implementing innovative systems that integrate cutting-edge pedagogical research and practices.

Prior to joining the staff, Joe gained significant experience in NEASC Accreditation through leading school visits. His expertise spans all accreditation pathways, with a particular focus on ACE Learning. His personal belief in and depth of experience with the ACE Learning framework have prepared him to be a pivotal mentor and resource for learning communities engaged in the accreditation process. And with genuine enthusiasm for and commitment to developing innovative and future-ready educational systems, Joe promises to deliver inspiration and valuable insights to the schools we partner with.
