New Associate Director: International Schools

Please help us provide a warm welcome to the newest member of NEASC’s Commission on International Education, Dr. Joseph Kotarski, as he steps into the role of Associate Director for Accreditation and School Improvement.

Joe comes to NEASC with over a decade of experience in the Middle East and North Africa where he served as Head of School and Director of Education, overseeing three newly opened schools. With robust academic credentials — including a Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership and two master's degrees in education — he brings a high level of skill in designing and implementing innovative systems that integrate cutting-edge pedagogical research and practices. As a leader with proven ability to nurture the personal development of all involved parties while fulfilling overarching school objectives, Joe is set to be a pivotal mentor and resource for learning communities engaged in the accreditation process. Drawn to NEASC because of his passion for school transformation, Joe has significant experience leading NEASC accreditation visits. His expertise spans all accreditation pathways, with a particular focus on ACE Learning. His personal belief in and depth of experience with the ACE Learning framework make him a natural fit for the NEASC international team. And with genuine enthusiasm for and commitment to developing innovative and future-ready educational systems, Joe promises to deliver inspiration and valuable insights to the schools we partner with.

We look forward to welcoming Dr. Kotarski to the NEASC team this summer when he relocates to the US with his family!
