Workshops and sessions will be available to all attendees and will focus on topics relevant to this year’s theme as well as the work of both the Commissions and the Association. We encourage everyone to attend and participate in them.
The Thursday plenary address will be delivered by Eric Mazur, Balkanski Professor of Physics and Applied Physics; Area Dean for Applied Physics, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA Our reception on Thursday evening will include a performance by the Broadway stars of the Phantom of the Opera followed by our banquet speaker Soraya Darabi, Co-founder of Foodspotting and Digital Strategist to ABC News. Ms. Darabi will address the importance of social and digital media on the future of learning. Our Friday luncheon speaker will be Governor Bob Wise, President, Alliance for Excellent Education and former Governor of West Virginia.
